Hong Kong International Literary Festival

Saturday, 16 June 2012 (noon-10pm)

Culture Club, G/F, 15 Elgin Street, SoHo

Admission: HK$50

The Hong Kong International Literary Festival plans to hold a 10-hour session of readings from James Joyce's Ulysses. There will also be Joyce music, Joyce chat, Jameson whiskey sponsored by Pernod Ricard, prizes ... and much more!

We are organizing this festival to celebrate Joyce's work and to raise funds to sponsor writers to come to Hong Kong for the Hong Kong International Literary Festival (5 to 14 October 2012).

How (can I take part)?
A) Readers: 20 readers will each read a section of the book for up to 20 minutes. Sponsored readers need to raise HK$2,000 (...four friends, a brown note each?). If possible bring along your own copy of Ulysses (Penguin edition), but we'll have a few copies on hand. If you want to reserve a place to read, email events@festival.org.hk by 5 June.

B) Listeners: Come along and join in the fun (all day if you like).
