Bloomsday in Melbourne is a mini-festival held every year on 16 June, and sometimes on the surrounding days. It celebrates James Joyce's novel Ulysses – its humour, its challenge to rethink the world, its experimentalism.
It aims to show that Ulysses is for everyone. Each year, we explore a different aspect of Ulysses. This is done using theatre, a seminar and (chatting over) dinner with readings or a song or both.
